Our Graduates into Teaching Pathway offers an exceptional opportunity to gain paid, hands‑on experience as a Teaching Assistant in schools across Sunderland. This tailored programme provides a clear route into education, equipping you with the skills and knowledge needed to take the next step towards teacher training.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support pupils both in small groups and one‑to‑one across secondary, SEN, and primary schools.
- Work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to deliver high‑quality learning experiences.
- Gain practical classroom experience while developing essential skills in behaviour management, lesson planning, and pupil support.
- Be placed in schools close to your home for convenience.
What We\’re Looking For
- A degree in any subject with a minimum 2:2 classification (or predicted).

- A proactive and adaptable attitude in a fast‑paced school environment.
