Prospero Teaching is looking for Supply Teachers to work in Secondary Schools across North London. Acting as a work-finding service, we provide supply cover to a range of Secondary and SEND schools across North London, from smaller community schools to large academies. We are seeking teachers who can confidently deliver lessons across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, demonstrate strong behaviour management, and have a passion for teaching and supporting students.

Prospero Teaching works with both newly qualified teachers and experienced teachers, helping them secure flexible and long-term opportunities in schools across North London. Many of our placements begin as day-to-day supply bookings and may extend into longer-term contracts depending on school needs.

  • Position - Supply Teacher (Secondary)
  • Type of work - Day to day and long term supply cover in North London secondary schools
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Day to day bookings with potential for extension depending on schools
  • Contract type - Temporary or Long Term contracts
  • Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on school needs
  • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate GBP120 per day
  • Hours - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Previous experience working in a UK Secondary school as a class teacher
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
