Our client, a renowned educational institution in Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full‑time Teaching Assistant to join their team at their residential school. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting the educational and personal development of young people. As a Teaching Assistant in our client's residential school, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing academic support and tutoring to students in a one‑on‑one or small‑group setting.
- Assisting with lesson planning and delivery, working closely with teaching staff.
- Monitoring and supporting students during recreational activities, meal times, and other aspects of residential life.
- Encouraging and fostering positive relationships with students, promoting their social and personal growth.
- Ensuring the safety and well‑being of students at all times.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to student progress and behaviour.
- Participating in staff training and professional development opportunities.

The starting salary for this position is £13.68 to £14 per hour, with opportunities for progression and professional development. Working hours are 08:15 am – 16:00 pm Monday to Thursday, and 14:30 pm finish on Friday.
