Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Geography tutor in Sheffield for a Year 10 student. Responsibilities include delivering one‑on‑one tutoring sessions, preparing lesson plans, assessing the student’s progress, and providing feedback. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, dedicated, and eager to aid students in their learning journey.

Candidates should have experience working with children, whether that be tuition, teaching and classroom roles, or pastoral and care employment.

  • Position: 1:1 Tutor
  • Start date: ASAP
  • End date: Ongoing, open-ended
  • Area: Sheffield
  • Working hours: 2 hours a week
  • Pay Rate: Salaries are paid on an hourly basis and will depend on your experience and qualifications, ranging from £20 to £30 per hour.

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

  • QTS desired but not required, or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis.
  • Proven track record of improving students' performances.
  • Team Teach Qualification highly desirable, but not required.
  • Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable but not essential as safeguarding training is provided).
  • DBS on update service.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional references from your previous two years of employment.
