Location: Stockton

Hours: 8:30-16:30 full time (term time)
Responsibilities
- Term‑Time only, Mon to Friday 8:30-4:30pm
- Starting ASAP
- Teaching children who have a diagnosis of Autism
- Teaching a primary curriculum to a small class of 10 and 11 year olds
- Developing pupils' early social, communication and independence skills
- Assisting with a tailored curriculum that supports individual pupils
- This is a temporary role but has the potential of becoming permanent
Qualifications & Skills
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience of teaching children who are diagnosed with Autism
- Experience of planning and delivering a primary curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver a diverse curriculum across all age groups who have a variety of abilities
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Be dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children
- Hold Right to Work in the UK – we do not offer sponsorship so please do not apply unless you are able to live and work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
