We are currently seeking individuals from a care background who are interested in working in a school environment. We are specifically looking for candidates who are either looking to gain classroom experience, or already have previous experience of working with groups of children or young people with SEND needs including Autism (ASD), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and other complex learning and medical needs.

Duties include:

  • Attend to the pupils\’ personal needs, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
  • Support pupils who may have complex medical needs and who may need emergency medical support.
  • Support pupils who require additional support with communication and speech difficulties.
  • Provide support to pupils who need assistance with personal care.
  • Feed pupils and assist them with drinking.
  • Support pupils who may need to be lifted and carried and/or transported in wheelchairs.
