A specialist SEND provision in Hackney is looking for a committed KS1 Teacher with strong early‑developmental experience to join their team for the new academic year. The school follows the Jewish academic calendar, with the role starting August 24th or September. This is an opportunity to teach a small, well‑supported class working at Reception‑level developmental stages, with a curriculum focused on communication, early numeracy and early literacy. The team is warm, structured and highly collaborative, with a strong emphasis on consistency and meaningful progress.

Your Role

  • Lead a small KS1/2 class working at early developmental levels
  • Deliver engaging learning at pre‑numeracy and pre‑literacy stages
  • Plan personalised, differentiated lessons for a wide range of needs
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists and the wider SEND team
  • Maintain a calm, predictable and nurturing classroom environment

About You

  • QTS with experience in SEN or specialist settings
  • Strong understanding of early learning development and EYFS‑style approaches
  • Confident in adapting learning for diverse needs
  • Patient, nurturing and resilient in your teaching style
  • Passionate about high‑quality SEND provision
