Full-Time SEN Teacher Needed for a Specialist Provision – Cheam.

Location: Cheam, South West London.

Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing.

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating a calm, supportive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils' emotional regulation, social development and independence
  • Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCo and pastoral staff
  • Implementing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families
  • Working in a supportive, experienced SEN team in a well-resourced, nurturing provision with a strong focus on wellbeing
  • Managing behaviour and emotional regulation strategies to maintain a safe learning space
  • Adopting a patient, nurturing and adaptable teaching approach

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
  • Ability to build positive relationships and create a safe learning space
  • Strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
