We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting on a maternity cover basis starting mid‑May. This is a full‑time role, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact supporting pupils with complex and multiple learning needs. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, working with students who require highly personalised approaches to learning, including those with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism, and associated needs.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Support pupils with complex and multiple learning difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, adapting approaches where needed

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with complex and multiple learning needs
  • Strong understanding of SEN, including PMLD, ASC, and communication needs
  • Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
  • Confident managing behaviours and supporting emotional regulation
