Classroom support are excited to be working with a large mainstream Primary School in the Maidstone area. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a temporary long-term position starting in November 2025. There is a highly competitive rate of pay of £90+ per day depending on experience, for working hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm. Working days are Monday-Friday term time only.
Responsibilities
- Supporting a pupil with ASD (Autism), who needs a lot of 1:1 support within and outside of the class.
- Using your experience of effective behaviour management.
- Resilience, patience and calmness are key experience traits that the school are looking for.
- Understanding of Autism and experience working with adults or children with such support needs.
- Fulfilling any required duties defined by the class teacher.
- Be willing to provide lunch cover on occasions.
- Any experience of SEN or relevant SEN qualification is advantageous but not a necessity.

- Advantageous requirement of holding a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification.
Additional information
Please note you will either need a DBS on the update service, or to run a new one and put it on the update service. We can support with this if you need us to, the DBS cost if you want us to run you one is £63.70.
