We\’re looking for a passionate and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil at a welcoming primary school in Newport.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil, helping them stay engaged, focused, and included in class activities
  • Supporting learning across the curriculum under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional wellbeing
  • Adapting resources and activities to suit the child\’s needs
  • Building a strong, supportive relationship with the pupil, the teaching team, and the wider school community

What We\’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary or SEN setting
  • A positive, flexible and patient attitude
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
