Prospero Teaching are currently looking for SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 support to young people in the Barnet areas.

The Opportunity

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced Tutors to provide support to primary aged SEN pupils who are not currently accessing mainstream education. Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have a background and strong understanding of SEN.

Position Details

  • Location: Barnet, London
  • Position: Primary SEN Tutor
  • Hours: 15 hours per week
  • Timetable: 5 days per week, 3 hours per day
  • Start date: 5th January 2026
  • Duration: ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
  • UK classroom teaching experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box

Eligibility

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
