Location: Hindley
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)

We are working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Hindley who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team this September. This role will be on a 1:1 basis, supporting a non-verbal autistic child in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 support for a non-verbal autistic child in a primary classroom
- Using visual timetables and other communication aids to support understanding and routine
- Supporting the child\’s learning, emotional regulation and social interaction
- Assisting the teacher in adapting activities to suit individual needs
- Working closely with the SENCO, class teacher and parents to ensure progress
- Encouraging independence and positive engagement in the classroom environment
What We\’re Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with Autism in a primary setting
- Confidence in using visual timetables (essential)
- Makaton experience (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, calm and supportive approach
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
