Overview
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Cover Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Lambeth, supporting autistic children and young people with a range of learning needs. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuity of learning by delivering and supervising planned lessons in the absence of the usual class teacher.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and supervise planned lessons in line with school policies.
- Maintain responsibility for classroom management, pupil wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Support a broad, balanced and personalised curriculum.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum (KS1-KS4).
- Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEND.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Desirable
- Experience working in a special school or specialist setting.
