As a SEMH Education Support Worker, you'll work closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff to help create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Your role will involve:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with Social Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties
  • Assisting with behaviour management strategies to support students' engagement in learning.
  • Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and social development.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to individual behaviour plans.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioural or special educational needs (SEN).
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to remain professional and positive in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Childcare/Education, Team Teach training) are desirable but not essential.
