We're looking for experienced Autism & SEMH Support Assistants to work with pupils across Bolton in long-term school-based positions.
These opportunities could suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Behaviour Support Assistant or SEND professional who understands the importance of relationship, consistency and patience.
You May Be Supporting Pupils Who Experience

- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Challenging or distressed behaviour
- Communication difficulties
- Barriers to classroom engagement
The role
You'll help pupils to feel safe, settled and ready to learn.
This Could Involve
- 1:1 support
- Small-group interventions
- Classroom support
- Supporting transitions and routines
- Helping pupils regulate their emotions
- Encouraging communication and independence
- Supporting engagement with learning
- Working alongside teachers and other professionals
We're looking for someone who can remain calm when things don't go to plan and who understands the importance of seeing the young person behind the behaviour.
