We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PMLD Teacher to join a specialist school in Rochdale on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Teaching pupils with complex needs, including PMLD
- Planning and delivering highly differentiated, sensory-based learning activities
- Working closely with support staff, therapists and external professionals
- Creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring progress and adapting provision to meet individual needs
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Has experience working with PMLD and complex needs (school or specialist setting)
- Demonstrates a caring, patient and flexible approach
- Is confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
