Long Term Futures are working alongside a welcoming and well-resourced primary school to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher for their specialist resource provision. This provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs, particularly Autism and communication challenges, with valuable emphasis on routine, personalised learning, and emotional wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons aligned with EHCP outcomes
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of complex needs
- Implement structured approaches to support communication and behaviour
- Lead and guide support staff in delivering targeted interventions
- Track and monitor progress against individual learning goals
- Create a consistent, safe, and nurturing classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with parents, SENCo, and external professionals
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Specialist School teaching experience
- SEND Specialism
- Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and inclusive practice
- Confident behaviour management and a calm, patient approach
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
