Overview

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis. Prospero\’s mission is to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK, offering personalized, enjoyable lessons while re-engaging these students into education and bringing structure into their daily routine.

  • Location – Within the community or pupils\\\’ home
  • Position – Numeracy & Literacy Tutor
  • Type of work – Contract
  • Start date – ASAP
  • Duration – Ongoing
  • End date (if applicable) – Ongoing
  • Contract type – Temporary
  • Full-time/part-time – Part time
  • Minimum rate of pay – £25 per hour
  • Hours – Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Eligibility

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
