Full-time, long-term supply from as soon as possible. These long-term supply roles are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who are looking for consistency and the opportunity to build strong relationships across schools in Plympton and the surrounding areas.
Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with a range of special educational needs across primary settings
- Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Assist with personal care and mobility where required
- Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting
- Confident working across any year group
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable to changing needs as a SEND Teaching Assistant
- Can follow safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
- Willing to commit to full-time, long-term placements
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent are desirable
Salary will be paid weekly through PAYE based on experience, with no self-employed or umbrella companies. Candidates will also benefit from a range of well-being services provided through the company’s pay portal. All candidates will be subject to safeguarding checks in line with the DfE’s statutory guidance, including a reference check and an Enhanced DBS check.
