Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Cramlington, Northumberland. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. This role is Monday–Thursday 8:30–4:30 and Friday 8:30–4:00.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver differentiated learning activities
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
- Support with social, emotional, and behavioural development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
- A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
