Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in North Tyneside that is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide full-time, one-to-one support for a pupil with complex ASC needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a supportive and inclusive school environment, working closely with experienced staff and specialist professionals to support a child's academic, social, and emotional development.

Role

  • Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with complex ASC needs
  • Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning activities
  • Implement structured routines and positive behaviour support strategies
  • Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, therapists, and external professionals

Requirements

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
