Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in North Tyneside that is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide full-time, one-to-one support for a pupil with complex ASC needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a supportive and inclusive school environment, working closely with experienced staff and specialist professionals to support a child's academic, social, and emotional development.
Role
- Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with complex ASC needs
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning activities
- Implement structured routines and positive behaviour support strategies
- Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times
- Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, therapists, and external professionals
- Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements
Essential

- Reliability, commitment, and an interest in securing a long-term opportunity
Desirable
- Experience working within a specialist provision or ASC unit

- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
