We are collaborating with local authorities, SEND teams, and education partners across Newton Aycliffe to provide specialist one-to-one SEN tuition for pupils who require additional learning support outside a mainstream classroom setting.
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEN Tutor in Newton Aycliffe, you will provide individualised face‑to‑face tutoring designed to help students re‑engage with education, improve their English and Maths skills, and develop confidence in learning. Sessions are delivered in‑person within community spaces, alternative education provisions, or sometimes at the learner's home, depending on their needs.
Position Details
- Pay: up to £30 per hour
- Hours: up to 15 per week per student
- Start date: November 2025
- Location: Newton Aycliffe
- Duration: Ongoing

Your Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 lessons tailored to individual needs
- Support students' academic and emotional development

Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring SEN learners (KS2 or KS3)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the up‑to‑date service (or willing to apply)
- Two years of verifiable references
