Job Description
This role involves forming trusting relationships, meeting students where they are, and supporting their re-engagement with learning and life goals. You will support their personal development by acting as a positive and consistent role model.
Key Responsibilities
- Build a strong, empathetic connection with students to encourage trust and openness.
- Deliver individual mentoring sessions to help students understand and regulate their emotions.
- Provide guidance on managing behaviour, avoiding negative influences, and building positive coping strategies.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, teachers, and professionals to develop and maintain a structured, supportive plan tailored to the student\’s needs.
- Foster a safe, calm, and non-judgemental space where students feel seen and heard.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience working one-to-one with children or young people experiencing behavioural or mental health difficulties.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
