Are you a calm and resilient individual with a passion for sports? We are currently working with a pupil referral unit to recruit for experienced sports coaches, starting after February half-term. This is an excellent opportunity for sports coaches to use this experience within a school setting, encouraging students to re-engage in learning.
The Role
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, using passion for sports to encourage re-engagement
- Co-ordinating fun and engaging activities for pupils
- Collaborating with teachers and parents to monitor progress
Experience, Training & Qualifications
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Team Teach Level 2 is highly desired but training can be provided
- A passion for sports and delivering sports sessions
- A calm and resilient nature
- Excellent behaviour management skills
To be eligible for this role
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references
