We are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in a friendly, inclusive, and vibrant school environment. This role offers the chance to develop your skills, build rewarding relationships, and make a meaningful impact every single day.
Responsibilities- Supporting students with SEN in the classroom, tailoring help to their individual needs
- Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and learning resources
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to help students reach their goals
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and curiosity in every child
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where every student feels valued
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking initiative when needed
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for helping children learn
- Valid DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check or willingness to apply
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to provide professional references covering the last 2 years
- Experience in an educational or childcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
