Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in their earliest years of education?

We are currently partnering with a friendly and supportive primary school in Openshaw that is seeking a dedicated Level 3 SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in helping children develop the confidence, skills, and curiosity needed for a successful start to school life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality Early Years learning experiences.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to promote learning and development.
  • Encourage children's communication, literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Help maintain a safe, engaging, and well-organised learning environment.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and personal development.
  • Assist with observations and assessments in line with EYFS expectations.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (preferred).
  • Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and early childhood development.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting young learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine passion for education.
