We are working with a number of specialist schools across London who are seeking a confident, empathetic and resilient Male Behaviour Mentor to join their teams immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring for students with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • Support emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour choices
  • Use consistent behaviour strategies including de-escalation and restorative approaches
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams and external agencies
  • Help create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in behaviour support, youth work, mentoring, coaching or education
  • A background in sports, coaching or physical activity is strongly preferred
  • Calm, confident approach when managing challenging behaviour
  • Strong ability to build rapport with young people who may struggle with trust or authority
  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and de-escalation strategies
  • Reliable, proactive and committed to supporting vulnerable learners
