We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school (SEMH) provision in Loughborough. This role focuses on supporting learners with mental health needs and special educational needs (SEN), helping them to access education within a supportive and inclusive environment. The school focuses on building positive relationships, promoting emotional regulation, and delivering tailored learning plans to help every pupil achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
- Support the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons alongside the class teacher.
- Implement behaviour strategies and support a structured environment with high expectations.
- Help pupils regulate emotions, develop social skills, and engage positively in learning.
- Support personalised learning pathways and access to appropriate accreditation.
