Remedy Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with epilepsy training to support students with social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside medical needs, in a structured and supportive environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Support pupils with epilepsy, ensuring safety and appropriate response to seizures.
- Assist with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in lessons.
- Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans.
- Promote a safe, calm and structured learning environment.
- Support students’ emotional regulation and social development.
Requirements
- Experience working in SEMH or challenging behaviour settings.
- Epilepsy training or experience supporting pupils with epilepsy.
- Strong behaviour management and resilience.
- A calm, patient and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
