Long Term Futures are recruiting a proactive and supportive Pastoral Assistant to join a secondary school in Haringey, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about student wellbeing, behaviour and engagement. You will work closely with Heads of Year, pastoral teams and teaching staff to support students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral support across KS3 and KS4
- Support students with behaviour, attendance and wellbeing
- Work closely with Heads of Year and pastoral leads
- Support students during lessons and unstructured times
- Build positive relationships to improve engagement and outcomes
- Assist with behaviour management and intervention strategies
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with young people in a school or pastoral setting
- Confidence working in a secondary school environment
- A calm, consistent and approachable manner
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Background in mentoring, youth work, SEN or education (desirable)
