Prospero Teaching are supporting a warm and welcoming primary school in the Littleborough area who are looking to appoint a full‑time Teaching Assistant for a long‑term role starting in January. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with children or vulnerable adults who is keen to develop their career in education. As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the school, helping to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Working alongside the class teacher, you will assist with lessons, deliver small‑group support and occasionally provide 1:1 teaching assistant guidance where required. The school are looking for someone who is calm, proactive and committed to helping children grow academically and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Assisting the class teacher with lessons and daily routines
- Providing small‑group interventions and teaching assistant support
- Offering 1:1 guidance for pupils who require additional help
- Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
- Helping children stay focused, motivated and engaged
- Contributing to a safe, warm and supportive classroom environment
