Overview: Teaching Personnel are proud to be working exclusively with a small, welcoming primary school in CA17, who have approached us directly to support them in appointing two dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants for the remainder of the academic year.
Roles:
- Full‑time role (Monday‑Friday) - Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 1 with additional needs
- Part‑time role - Flexible hours to be confirmed - Providing 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 6
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEN
- Adapt classroom activities to meet individual learning needs
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and the SENCO
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or school setting
- Patient, nurturing, and resilient
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and able to use initiative
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Valid enhanced DBS check
- Child protection and prevent duty training (or will be provided)
