Our client, a highly respected primary school in Hinckley, Leicestershire, is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join their team. This is a full‑time, temporary‑to‑permanent position with a competitive salary of £220 per day, negotiable depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, multi‑sensory lessons that challenge and support students with special educational needs, ensuring measurable progress towards their learning goals.
  • Collaborate with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) and other professionals to identify students’ specific learning needs and implement effective teaching strategies to address them.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working as a Special Education Teacher in a primary school setting.
  • Thorough understanding of the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Proven track record of effectively planning and delivering engaging, multi‑sensory lessons that meet the needs of students with diverse learning requirements.
