Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Croydon | £115 - £135 per day | Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full time, long-term temporary

Long Term Futures are seeking a resilient and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time long-term temporary basis. The role itself is based in Croydon and would focus across both KS1 and KS2 delivering lessons and providing targeted interventions.

About the Role

  • Delivering planned lessons across both KS1 and KS2 in the short absences of the Teacher
  • Providing targeted interventions to students with ASD and other related SEN needs
  • Offering support and guidance to other TAs within the classroom, ensuring consistency across the setting
  • Ensuring the pupils are safe and secure at all times

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • HLTA status or relevant Level 4 qualification or higher
  • A creative approach to learning and the flexibility to adapt activities and strategies to meet the diverse needs of children
  • Strong behaviour management and the ability to build rapport with students across all year groups
  • Reliable and committed to a long-term placement
  • Proven experience delivering targeting interventions
  • Flexibility to teach and work across all year groups and to be fluid in your day structure
