Prospero Teaching is looking for a patient, supportive, and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to join welcoming schools in Southampton. This role involves working closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. Your role will be to help pupils feel secure, confident, and able to access learning in a structured and nurturing environment. You'll work with teachers and SEN staff to deliver personalised support that makes a genuine difference to each child's progress and daily experience.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for children with SEND
- Help students stay focused, manage emotions, and build independence
- Support personalised learning activities and adapted classroom tasks
- Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and social development
- Work closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams
- Contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
