Prospero Teaching is recruiting a dedicated and adaptable Secondary Learning Support Assistant to work in a secondary school setting in Southampton until the end of the summer term. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting students across KS3 and KS4 with a range of needs, including educational, emotional, and pastoral support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for individual students when required
  • Support learning within the classroom alongside the teacher
  • Offer emotional, moral, and educational support to pupils
  • Help students stay focused, engaged, and confident
  • Support behaviour, routines, and transitions throughout the day
  • Complete required training and record‑keeping using IT systems
  • Work flexibly with daily timetables issued each morning
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
