The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 Β£ per hour.

Tutors will work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, supporting students with a range of needs including SEND, SEMH, anxiety, trauma, or those who are looked after children (LAC) or at risk of exclusion.

The Role

  • Deliver personalised tuition in core subjects (English, Maths and/or Science)
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual SEN needs
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Work in settings such as the home, community venues, or alternative provisions
  • Provide regular feedback on pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience tutoring or teaching children or young people with SEN
  • Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching approaches
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour where required
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
