The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
Tutors will work on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, supporting students with a range of needs including SEND, SEMH, anxiety, trauma, or those who are looked after children (LAC) or at risk of exclusion.
The Role
- Deliver personalised tuition in core subjects (English, Maths and/or Science)
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual SEN needs
- Support pupils with EHCPs and additional learning needs
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Work in settings such as the home, community venues, or alternative provisions
- Provide regular feedback on pupil progress
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience tutoring or teaching children or young people with SEN
- Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching approaches
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Confident managing challenging behaviour where required
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
