We are currently working with a range of supportive and forward-thinking secondary schools across Tameside and surrounding areas who are looking to appoint enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) across multiple subject areas. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your teaching career in schools that offer strong mentoring, structured induction, and genuine long-term development.

Requirements and Opportunities

  • Completing a PGCE, SCITT or equivalent teacher training programme
  • Passionate about teaching and making a positive impact
  • Confident delivering engaging lessons to secondary‑aged pupils
  • Eager to complete a structured ECT induction programme
  • Professional, reflective, and committed to development
  • Full ECT induction support in line with statutory requirements
  • Long‑term and permanent teaching opportunities
  • Roles across Tameside including Ashton‑under‑Lyne, Denton, Hyde, Stalybridge, Droylsden and surrounding areas
  • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement
  • Competitive salary and daily‑rate options depending on placement

Subjects: English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, PE, Computing, Business Studies, Art & Design, Design Technology. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
