Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning? We are looking for a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school near Godalming, Surrey.

• Location: Near Godalming, Surrey
• Working hours: Monday: 8:30am - 4:00pm Tuesday - Thursday: 8:30am - 4:15pm Friday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
• Pay: £14.00 - £15.50 per hour
• Contract: Long-term / Temp-to-Perm
• Transport: Own transport is essential due to the school's rural setting

Your Day-to-Day Role

Working alongside experienced teachers and the wider school team, you will provide consistent and individualised support to students throughout their school day.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Supporting young people with complex mental health and additional needs.
• Providing a calm, consistent presence and helping students feel safe and supported.
• Encouraging pupils to develop strategies for managing their emotions.
• Helping students engage positively with lessons and their wider school experience.
• Supporting learners across different key stages.
• Building students' confidence, independence and ability to make meaningful progress.
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure individual needs are understood and appropriately supported.

• Previous experience within an SEN setting would be beneficial, but is not essential.
