Are you an experienced and committed Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)? We are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking SEND school in Gateshead that is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil with complex ASC needs on a full-time basis.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with complex ASC needs
- Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning
- Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
- Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and safety
- Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals
- Contribute to a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
