Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to join inclusive and supportive schools across Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in empowering students with additional needs, helping them grow in confidence and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning support
  • Help pupils develop both academically and socially
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Have experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and committed to student development

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
