Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and understanding SEN Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in the Farnborough area. This role involves working closely with children who require additional help due to autism, ADHD, learning delays, communication differences, or social-emotional needs. You’ll provide a mix of 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils stay engaged, build confidence, and feel secure throughout the school day. You’ll be working alongside class teachers and SEN staff to implement strategies that make learning accessible and enjoyable for every child.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEND
- Assist with small-group work to strengthen academic and social skills
- Support pupils with communication, confidence, and emotional regulation
- Help pupils with classroom activities, routines, and transitions
- Encourage positive behaviour and independence
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and pastoral teams
- Promote a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children, SEN learners, or vulnerable individuals
- Patient, compassionate and confident with varied needs
- Clear communicator with strong teamwork skills
- Positive, reliable and able to build strong relationships
- Comfortable supporting pupils across different ages if needed
- Psychology, education or related graduates encouraged to apply

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
- Experience working with children desirable
- Safeguarding training available
- Understanding of SEND strategies is an advantage
