We are recruiting an ECT / Trainee Teacher to join a small and developing specialist SEND setting in Coventry.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT who is looking to develop your teaching career within SEND, gain valuable specialist experience and become part of a growing school.

With small class sizes and a personalised approach to learning, you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with pupils and develop your confidence as a teacher in a supportive environment.

Previous SEND experience isn't essential. The school is looking for someone with the right attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn, with training and support available.

About The Role

You’ll work Monday to Friday during school hours, supporting and delivering personalised learning to young people with additional needs.

Working within small classes, you’ll receive support from experienced colleagues while developing your own teaching practice and learning how to adapt lessons to meet a range of SEND needs.

You’ll Be Involved In

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum
  • Adapting learning to suit individual SEND needs and abilities
  • Supporting pupils with SEND, autism, learning difficulties and additional needs
  • Building positive relationships with pupils
  • Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
  • Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual learning plans
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and experienced colleagues
  • Developing pupils’ confidence, independence and life skills
  • Continuing to develop your own teaching skills through training and professional development

We're keen to hear from ECTs, Early Career Teachers and trainee teachers who are looking for an opportunity to develop their teaching career within specialist education.

You may have completed your teacher training in a mainstream setting, or already have an interest in SEND.
