Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEN school in Littleborough from September. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with a range of complex learning, physical, and communication needs, helping them access education and reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with complex special educational needs.
- Support pupils with communication, sensory, physical, and learning needs throughout the school day.
- Assist with personal care where required.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement individual learning and care plans.
- Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and social development.
- Support the delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN, complex needs, or disabilities.
- A patient, caring, and resilient attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience supporting pupils with autism, physical disabilities, sensory needs, or communication difficulties is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in education, health, care, or SEND are beneficial but not essential.
