Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping young minds thrive? If so, we have a very exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a tutor in Chorley. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk young people. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels. It is Prospero's mission to raise the standard of support given to vulnerable young people throughout the UK. As such, we are looking for a passionate, creative and holistic tutor, eager to provide academic support and guidance to students in a one-on-one or small-group setting, improving their educational journey.
Position Details
- Role: 1:1 Secondary Tutor
- Subjects: Maths, English, Science
- Location: In the community or pupils' home (Lancaster)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Rate of Pay: GBP25 per hour (minimum)
- Hours: Flexible - between 8am and 4pm (some after-school work available)
- Contract Type: Ongoing, part-time contract
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years professional references
- QTS or relevant tutoring experience
- Experience working with SEN pupils (preferred)
