We are recruiting Support Workers to join a welcoming supported living setting in Bournemouth. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity ideal for individuals passionate about supporting young people to develop independence and life skills.
About the Setting
- Supported living provision for young people aged 16-18
- All residents are relatively independent – no personal care required
- Supporting young people with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD

The Role
As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping young people build confidence and independence. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supporting daily living skills such as cooking, shopping, and maintaining a home
- Encouraging independence and decision-making
- Accompanying young people to activities and appointments
- Supporting with job applications, CV writing, and preparing for employment
- Adapting support to individual needs – some require minimal input, others need more consistent guidance
Working Hours
2 × 24-hour shifts per week. Shift pattern details: 9:00 am – 9:00 am, sleep-in 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (may be interrupted if support is needed – paid accordingly), and morning shift 7:00 am – 9:00 am. Flexible to agree set shifts or work on a rolling rota.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 months' experience working with children or young people (any setting)
- No prior SEN experience required
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Reliable, committed, and able to work the shift pattern outlined
