We are looking for a highly organised and detail-focused Finance & Administration Assistant to support the smooth running of our school operations across multiple sites. This is a key support role within the school's central team, ensuring that financial processes and administrative systems are accurate, efficient, and compliant.
Working closely with the Finance & Operations Controller, you will take responsibility for day-to-day processing and record-keeping, supporting both financial and administrative functions across the school.
What You'll Be Doing
Your work will help ensure the school runs efficiently behind the scenes. Responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
- Supporting month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting
- Assisting with audit and inspection preparation
- Managing and updating financial and administrative records
- Supporting compliance and documentation requirements
- Communicating with staff, parents, and external stakeholders in a professional manner
- Assisting with capital expenditure tracking and administration
- Ensuring all records are correctly stored and maintained
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial processes
- Confident using (or willing to learn) Xero or similar systems
- Able to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
- Professional, reliable, and a strong communicator
- Comfortable working in a busy school environment
