We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4 in a range of SEN and SEMH schools across Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference in their education and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students stay engaged and progress in their learning
- Support students with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and school support teams
Requirements
- Previous experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed and thrive
- Appropriate qualifications and training for the role
- Valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (or willingness to undertake one)
