Our Speech and Language Therapists play a key role in supporting children and young people with communication, language, and social interaction needs. Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised one-to-one and small-group speech and language interventions within school settings
  • Assess pupils' communication needs and develop clear, targeted therapy plans
  • Adapt therapeutic approaches to suit individual developmental levels and communication styles
  • Support pupils in developing speech, language, social communication skills, and confidence
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals
  • Maintain accurate session records, monitor progress, and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Contribute to a calm, consistent, and communication-friendly learning environment
  • Demonstrate confidence delivering both direct therapy and indirect support, such as staff training and resource development

Qualifications

  • A minimum of one year's experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Experience delivering therapy to children or young people (school-based experience preferred)
  • HCPC registration, or eligibility to register
  • The right to work in the UK
  • An Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including ASD, DLD, or SEMH needs
  • Experience working in mainstream and/or specialist school settings
